1. Why should I work with Advantage Medical Staffing? When you work with us you never have to worry about anyone setting your schedule ever again. It’s all up to you!

2. What are the minimum requirements to work with Advantage Medical Staffing? AMS requires at least 12 months of experience in a healthcare facility setting in the last 36 months. Are you a new nurse and don’t have the 12 months of experience yet? Don’t leave our website without completing our application. We will hold your application and contact you when you have the necessary experience.

3. Does AMS have per diem shifts and long term contracts? At AMS we have something for everyone! Schedule one day at a time or contract for 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks, or 13 weeks at a local hospital.

4. When and how will I be paid? At AMS, you decide your payday! Whether you want to get paid the same day as your shift, weekly, or any time in between, it is all up to you. We offer a choice of Direct Deposit to your personal checking or savings account or save time and money by using the AMS PayCard. With the AMS PayCard, you can make purchases anywhere MasterCard is accepted using your AMS earnings or access your AMS pay at any ATM.

5. How long it will take to get hired and be offered a shift? Not long at all. Your application will be immediately processed by our Human Resources Department. You will be contacted by an AMS Representative within 48 hours to email you provided on your application.

6. What does AMS pay? AMS strives to pay the highest salaries in the industry. Due to various contracts with individual clients in the area, AMS’ pay scales vary and may change without notice. Always request current pay scale information before accepting an assignment.

7. How do my taxes get paid? Not to worry! AMS is not a registry. AMS will deduct the appropriate FWT, Medicare, and Social Security taxes from your pay. In January of each year you will be mailed a W-2 detailing your earnings from the previous year.

8. Do I have to carry my own Malpractice Insurance or Worker’s Compensation Insurance? No. AMS provides Malpractice Insurance & Worker’s Compensation Insurance for all our team members at no cost.

9. What do I get when I refer a co-worker to AMS? If you have a friend you think would make a great AMS employee, you could be making some serious cash! Contact Theresa Cole our Administrator at theresac@amsisthebest.com for current information.

10. What are the payroll hours at AMS? The payroll hours at AMS are Monday - Friday 8am - 12pm. Time slips should be submitted for payment the next business day by 10 a.m. Direct deposits may take up to 72 hours for your funds to be claimed by your bank and deposited into your account.

11. How do I get a Pay Card? All you have to do is call our AMS Accounting office, and request a PayCard to be mailed to you. The card should arrive to you within 7 to 10 days. If you have any questions about the PayCard enrollment please call,

13. Do I get paid for additional Hospital or Facility orientations ? Yes. AMS pays you for Orientation after you complete the Facility On-Site Orientation and 40 hours at that facility.
